A lovely photo of a wheatear at Leckwith Droves Allotments, taken a few days ago by Mitchell Young.

Wheatears spend the winter in Central Africa and migrate to Wales and the UK to breed during the summer, so this one has probably just arrived after a very long flight, and is very welcome, they eat insects and larvae.

If you have any photos of wildlife at the allotments please send them to leckwithdroves@gmail.com so that we can show them on the website.
